I want more movies to watch. I love the madness of each film everyone goes crazy from a desire. Apocalypse now is about a man trying to find his crazy American target in Vietnam. There will be blood is about a oil man that has no family and turmoil keeps coming his way, and the only way to cope is to kill his opponents, his main drive is that his is a head strong competitor. All about Eve is about girl who wants to be a star and lies about everything to get on top, as well as dumping the people who helped her.

I love this obsessiveness of characters. they possess this drive that i can identify with.

we had five-hours to kill and we were in the middle of no where. i wanted to go to a book store. i asked the in-n-out workers and they said to take the 10 e, to the 57n, and get off at auto centre drive. Brent was weary about going-off the path to our concert destination, i was like fuck it! we have 5 damn hours to kill, we can get lost and still have time on our hands. brent agreed.

we got back on the 10 and took the 57n, brent was tripping out, cause he didn't find the autocentre drive, but 2mins later the sign popped up and brent was fine.

now five mins and 23 second later we got to Barnes and noble. Brent said," I feel like im in waiting-for-godot." I laughed.

we spent about an hour in the store, and then we left. back on the road we went.

it was just Brent, me and the 10 east freeway, i didnt eat any breakfast and i was hungry. Brent wouldn't stop, he was eager to get to the show exactly at 2pm. i tried to convince him to stop, but he wouldn't. Brent's friend who got us the free-tickets called him up. she explained that the dope musicians wont be on till 6pm. i was kinda pissed cause Brent rushed the fuck-out of me and its 1pm and i havent eaten. so we decided to stop and eat at In-n-out.

if good fortune comes, I cheer, If Misfortune comes, I cry. I must learn how to react to both outcomes with equal spirit. why cheer for good fortune? by cry for misfortune? Good fortune and misfortune are distinctions we humans have created. there is no such thing as this duality, its all in our heads. if something good happens it just happens,, something bad happens, it just happens--- it all passes. when got laid-off i the show "avatar" in January, i was very disappointed, i was sad, but then i found other gigs. My boss kept telling me he will get me back on "Avatar." i was eager to get back on, but i wasn't sure when it would happen. finally, he told me," eric, i have some good news, you can start this monday." I was so happy i was almost in tears. it was such a great feeling. with that feeling i invited misfortune. On that monday, the working space was much different from when i was working in january. my boss was yelling at me. i wasn't producing fast enough. now i feel like shit cause of these things that happened. but i was happy to get back on? why am i depressed? obviously, if i reacted to the information of getting the job back with a steady spirit, and think of the job as nothing more than a job then i wouldn't have to be this disappointed. as for now, i must trash every thought i have ever had about this job and treat it like a new born baby. I don't know what turn it will take, but where ever it takes me that is where i will go. Peace

Why do I suffer to create a painting on canvas? Sometimes I get so frustrated when painting because I can’t create the likeness that I want. Why am I frustrated? I get mad because of the fear that someone might not like it.

What if someone doesn’t like the art? Then they don’t want to look at it. And if no one wants to look at it, then what is its existence? What use is its existence? Why does art exist if some people don’t like it?

Is art purely for beauty? Art can be an act of doing something out of boredom. Art can be an obsession for people’s approval. Art can be an act of meditation. Art can be an outlet for venting.

Aiite today was a bit better, but i got yelled at in the morning by my boss. but it was legit, cause i was not getting my work in on time. it wasn't cause i was procrastinating, it was cause i was trying to learn and new program called: MAYA.

Fuck computers. they are the devil. Computers only give people more shit to do. what if all the computers in the world just shut down for a week. that would be interesting.

fuck all computers. they are hard to understand. especially the damn programs. new shit comes out every month, once you learn one program you have to learn a new one. smart business.... those Fucks!

Computers are addicting like cigarettes! people who have a computer end up buying everything for it. its just a tool, why cant we be happy with what we have?

Days are getting worse...

Fucked-up days can only get better, right? I been waiting for this job for about month now. This gig might be my ticket into the Union.

yesterday was my first day. i walked in with a smile on my face, and my computer under my arm. everything was going great! i was getting paid to make art, i was surrounded by artists, and i could get all the coffee i ever wanted. but things got worse...

my boss and one of the illustrator's got in a huge fight about some work i was doing. my boss wanted the illustrator to draw an object in a background i created. but the illustrator wanted me to put the object in. they argued for about an hour. i couldn't have ever felt any worse about some art i made.

eventually it all ended. now, i feel like the illustrator just doesn't like me, and there is nothing i can do about that.

today i did more work, my boss was loving it, but i could feel the illustrator getting kinda jealous. i kinda feel like the teachers-pet. but i'm just doing what i'm told, nothing more than that. fuck it. tomorrow is a new day.

So i came up with this theory, "why girl's my age go out with older guys." my theory behind this is that girls that are my age, 22-23 just got out of college and they don't know what the fuck to do with their lives. so unconsciously the think that going with someone older has more experience with life in the "Real world."

you see, i'm suffering from life after college just as much. i sometimes feel like i'm Dustin Hoffman in THE GRADUATE. I'm learning the way of the college graduate. Why dont we suffer and learn together?

From 8am to 1pm i was building a fake boat under the heat of the sun. My task was to drill holes in metal 2x4's. by noon my hands were black. I was sweating so much i had to take off my shirt and wrap that shit in a turban.

Working in the movie business i get thrown in all directions. but the show that i'm on right now is very different, it is motion-capture. Basically Motion capture is like the animation on monster house, where the actor have all these dots on their bodies and they become the digital character. The Motion-capture process is quite unique, but since its very new technology it sometimes feels like i'm working on an independent film.

As an Art Department PA for motion-capture, I'm actually doing way more manual labor than digital stuff. but the cool thing about the project The Art director let me buy his computer off of him for $200 with Maya and Motion-builder on it. DOPE!

My hand had a rough day, this typing is making my hands swell. gotta get the ice.

Internet-dating and the EMAIL

I must say, Match.com has made me a better writer. I feel like I can express myself through a simple email. I can be BOLD and not have to second guess what I'm writing. but then again i need to learn more about email-etiquette...

In my emails, I like to use enthusiasm, questions and assertiveness to the person. For example, when it comes to enthusiasm, i put lots of exclamation points! I throw in some jokes about their profiles (harmless jokes). Of course the Enthusiasm has to be genuine.

When it comes to questions, i like to ask more about them, but not too much.

and for assertiveness, i ask them on a date. maybe i shouldn't ask the girl on a date with the first email... what do you think?

there was this one girl that i was very close to get on a date but she ended up calling me up at like 11pm and she said that she was getting off of work at that moment. she sounded very apologetic when she spoke to me, but i didn't take it too personally cause i don't know the girl. I just took it at face value.

Even though i have only been on match.com for almost two months, i feel like have a lot more confidence with my emails, and my writing.

Have you ever asked a person on a DATE? Not a simple, 'Let chill/hangout/kick-it, but and actual, "hey, lets go out on a DATE."

A few days ago was my first attempt, and that shit was harder than constipation. I was always told," Eric, if you want a girlfriend, then you gotta ask the girl on a date." Knowing my scared ass, i avoid the word 'date' word, and just beat-around the bush with a simple, "lets chill some time." that never got me anywhere, except some chill time with myself.

After a 2 facebook messages to her, and one voicemail... to her... I felt like i was in the game. a couple hours went by, i started doubting my actions. FUCK i shouldn't have left so many damn messages, i seem desperate. but on the other side i let her know how i felt about her. a couple more hours passed. FUCK IT i did what i did, at least i have match.com to lean on.

the next day i check my facebook. she left a message. saying, 'she doesn't want to date.' wow, she responded! wasn't expecting that. ' your a great guy, but i'm not looking to date' Wow! WOW! i got rejected but i didnt' feel defeated.

now i wasn't scared, the Word DATE made sense to me! it a way to hit 2 birds with one stone-- i lets the person know how your feel about them as well as getting a date with them. Dope.

I'M GOING TO VOMIT, yesterday i was stuck in northern san francisco at a place called Skywalker sound, and the sir in there was so stale i wanted to throw up all over the control booth.

Some people i know think its pretty damn cool to travel for business. yea its cool, only if you get some free time. i was there just sitting, waiting 6 hours in a room with no windows.

basically i had to deliver tapes to Skywalker sound for them to transfer all the video to an editing program called final cut. very fun stuff...

any how has anyone been to san francisco? i'm probably going to be there again. let me know whats fun to do out there, send me some photos of stuff to do and i'll post it up on the blog.

Okay, I'm trying out Match.com. At first it was fun, I sent out 10 emails to the girls i thought were potential, but i got nothing back. piece of shit match.com.

I realized i could see myself getting lazy with dating and meeting people if i'm on match.com. finally after the 1st week some one winked at me.

butterflies butterflies! hell yea. so i sent her an email back. then it took her a while to respond. i got a date at a tea place!

it end up we never went on the date cause she was too busy. what ever. now i'm going back on match.com to find a new person.

after i was scanning all the girls i was getting so bored cause they are all the same faces, and i'm too lazys to read the essays they write about themselves.

I say everyone should at least try it out to get past the taboo of internet dating. but i think the best way of meeting a person is through friends.
